The DAB fully supports neighbouring territories such as Macau and is always looking for ways to work together for our mutual benefit. On 28 June, a seminar was held on Hong Kong and Macau's co-operative development strategies. The seminar was chaired by DAB Party Affairs Advisor and Legislative Councillor Tsang Yok-sing and guest speakers included Frederick Ma, former Secretary of Commerce and Economic Development, HKSAR; Sio Chi Wai, President of Macao Development Strategy Research Centre; Stanley Chu, Chairman of Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Industry Association and Chan Kam-lam, DAB Spokesperson for Economic Affairs and Legislative Councillor.
In the seminar speakers shared their views on Macau's current economic situation, and explored the important opportunities for and threats to co-operation. Following the reunification of Hong Kong and Macau with the Mainland, the DAB believes that there are many ways to create a win-win situation which will promote the well-being of both territories and create a better life for all. |
