DAB Nite@LanKwaiFong, held on 14 July, turned out to be a very popular event as over 180 guests arrived in their finest sports wear to support our city's athletes and celebrate the rapidly approaching start of the Olympic Games in Beijing.

Special guests included Lam Woon-kwong, CEO of Equestrian Events of the Games of the XXIX Olympiad Company Ltd.; Hu Shao-ming, JP, President of the Hong Kong Cycling Association; and Cowen Chiu, President of the Windsurfing Association of Hong Kong. DAB Vice-chairman Ann Chiang and Lam Woon-kwong each gave a short speech expressing their excitement about the upcoming Games. Other guests included DAB leaders, members of YoungDAB, media representatives, sports clubs members and athletes.

It was a night of fun for all who attended. Everyone enjoyed the all-you-can-eat drinks and snacks buffet and the live band, and participated eagerly in the organised games. During the evening two well-dressed guests were presented with prizes for the best sports wear.

Finally, in a touching moment, signed banners expressing our pride and support were presented to the Hong Kong athletes, who we hope will enjoy great success in the Games.
